My Dear Cunliffe-Lister,

When I saw you in the House the other day I was unable to find an opportunity to congratulate you on your recovery from what must have been a very trying experience. I hope you are feeling no ill effects from the prolonged strain.

In a recent Parliamentary reply dealing with the use of Japanese cement in Hongkong, you indicated in the latter part of the reply that you were making certain enquiries. For your information I enclose herewith a statement showing Tenders for various construction work called for by the Hongkong Government from 6th January 1933 to 2nd February 1934, and indicating the cement that had been used on these various public works. The statement itself calls for no comment from me.

Sincerely yours,

M. Hammer

Rt.Hon, Sir Philip Cunliffe-Lister, G.B.E.,M.C.,
